10x20x20: Do you remember your very first photograph?

Last Friday I was honoured to speak at the Winnipeg Art Gallery for 10x20x20, among nine other amazing creatives, as part of the Winnipeg Design Festival.

I was invited to speak on any topic I chose and I thought about a question that I had been asked a few months prior, “do you make or take photographs?” Reflecting on this question led me to the decision to talk about my personal photographic journey to date and how it ties into the idea of “making” versus “taking” an image.
